Meeting Charges

Initial meeting/Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM) held online:- 

£130 per person

The initial meeting usually lasts an hour. 

Mediation Meetings held online

Standard rate for online meetings £150.00 pp per hour
Gross annual income below £30,000 p/a ( proof of income required and savings of less than £10k) £135.00 pp per hour

£150 per person

The initial meeting usually lasts an hour. 

Mediation Meetings held face to face at the office:-

Standard rate £160.00 pp per hour
Gross annual income below £30,000 p/a ( proof of income required and savings of less than £10k) £145.00 pp per hour

 

Depending on the issues, three to five sessions of two hours each are usually required, but more or less may be needed. 

Charges are not subject to VAT. Charges for meetings to be paid in full prior to the start of the meeting.

Family Mediation Voucher Scheme

Our accredited mediators are all authorised by the Family Mediation Council to take part in the Family Mediation Voucher Schemewhich provides a financial contribution of up to £500 towards the costs of mediation. This is not means tested and is available for all mediations which relate to:-

  •  dispute/application regarding a child
  • a dispute/application regarding family financial matters where you are also involved in
  • a dispute/application relating to a child

Pre-meeting preparation:

Charged at the above rates on an hourly basis.  Depending on the complexity of your matter, review of your financial information and preparation for the meeting usually takes around one – two hours.

Post meeting summary of outcomes:

A post meeting summary of outcomes is a very useful document setting out the outcomes of the meeting, as well as detailing what further information might be required.  This document acts as a very helpful aide memoire and will assist you to prepare for future mediation meetings.  

Depending on the complexity of your matter it usually takes between half an hour and an hour to prepare this document and will be charged at the above rates on an hourly basis. 

If your issues are particularly complicated or you require any other interim documentation for consultation with your personal adviser/s, we will always discuss with you beforehand any likely additional cost. We will provide you with cost estimates wherever practicable to assist your planning of likely costs.

Final outcome documents: Memorandum of Understanding, Open Financial Statement and Parenting Agreements

Depending on the degree of complexity, it usually takes around two hours to prepare mediation outcome documents and will be charged at the above rates. If we think that it may require more time to do so, we will discuss this with you first.

Routine phone calls or letters

Charges do not apply for routine telephone calls or letters.

Co-mediation or other professional involvement

Where it is the case that your mediation involves another supporting professional or co-mediator, we will have discussed with you the likely costs for such an arrangement and will provide information about how payment can be made.

Cancellation charge

The cancellation charge will apply for any meeting cancelled within 48 hours of the meeting time, and the full meeting charge set out above will apply.
