The current financial crisis is putting a huge strain on many families. For those couples separating or going through divorce, the uncertainties brought about by the current crisis are placing added pressures on families trying to sort out their future financial situations and child arrangements.

For parents looking for some financial help to sort out their disputes, this is reminder that the Family Mediation Voucher Scheme remains available.

This scheme has been set up by the Government to encourage more people to consider mediation as a means of resolving disputes regarding a child, and family financial matters where they are also involved in a dispute relating to a child.

The voucher is a financial contribution of £500 towards the costs of the mediation. The mediator applies for the voucher, there is minimal paperwork for the parents, and the scheme is not means tested.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact if you think that this scheme may be of benefit to you in sorting out your parenting and financial arrangements through mediation.
